    Banku is Dangme and not Ga word, Ba and not Baa is leaf, Ku(corn and cassava dough mixed) is the food, so simply food served in leaves

    Good but some point seemed twisted. For clarity -
    'Ku' with silent N is and as a name for staple food is a Dangme language NOT Ga.
    Eg: MaKU, kokoteKU, kaawiKU, agblimaKU etc 'Ha jukwon KU ne hey ye" means give the kid food ...
