Am surprised nothing much is said about Kiki Gyan when we're talking about osibisa, was he not part of the group?

His stay was short-lived.
That aside he was causing trouble.
Don't forget a lot of performers joined the group at different times:
Kofi Ayivor
Bessa Simon
Guy Warren

I'm filled with sorrow. Indeed this gentleman and the other Ghanaians in the group made Ghana and Africa proud. There wasn't any tribal discrimination at all at the time. Nobody quarrelled or had and issue about the fact that the group was formed and led by an Ashanti. The nation needs to honour him. May the Soul of the departed Rest In Peace.

I knew both Teddy and his late brother Mac Tontoh very well. They even invited me and a few friends of mine to their dressing room when Osibisa played a gig at our college in Marylebone, London in the late seventies. The girls among us were hugely impressed. Our platonic relationships went up another level. I went on to marry mine. Their music was authentic and magnetic, their popularity worldwide. Teddy and Mac, you left indelible mark on the world of music. May your souls rest in perfect peace.

The writeup is so exciting to read.
Growing up in the mid to the late 70s, Osibisa song dominated the airwaves thanks to Ghana Broadcasting Corporation and it's ace DJs at the time name Gordon Avenorgbor, James Amartey and George Crabbe with their musical programmes, yours for the asking, listeners choice, musical interludes etc then Charlie Sam and Karl Agyemang Bannerman with solid black then of Mike Eghan just to mention names that I could recall.
By the way anybody know the whereabouts of Jojo Techie Micah?
