  Ghana Tourism Authority must go to Lake Bosomtwe and see the extortion going on there, all in the name of 'tour guide'. From the road tolls that are taken right infront of the Municipal Assembly guest house, to an office at Abono where tourists are first ushered, to be extorted before visiting the lake. U wonder who these operatives account to. Is there not a way we can create a system where locals are supported to establish income generating initiatives around tourism facilities, rather than "begging or extortion?

  I’m a Ga, from James town. Living in Switzerland,I came with my family two years ago, to where my ancestors lived only to be harass by the locals there. They wanted money before allow me to the beach. I told them I’m one of them, but all the wanted was money. It was so dangerous the amount of people coming to the scene to harass us.
  We were force to leave scared of our live. I was schooled. Coming to my own country, while Chinese are walking freely and giving tour on YouTube on my home town. While the indigenous people are prevented from walking their own beaches. GHANA WAKE UP! Where are the authorities? Has Ghana become Lawless? Is becoming dangerous for tourists.
