First get the right values.Have the right beliefs because these are what will shape and mold your character and character in turn is what influences the most important choices we make in life.
Values like: 1.being honest (having integrity),
2.being considerate and respectful towards others,
3.being kind and gentle,
4.being truthful,
5.being hard-working,
6.being even-tempered,
7.having a healthy ambition
8.and above all have fear and reverence for the God of Heaven as found in the Holy Scripyures bodes well for a person's future.Such a young man or woman will naturally look for a life partner shares the same precious values hey have ( "Birds of a the same feather flock together")
In contrast people who learned to be dishonest, who are untrustworthy ,who are inconsderate, who are self-centred and only look out for themselves, who are habitual liars, who are lazy, who lack ambition, who are bad tempered will likely make poor or terrible choices in life including that of marriage.
NOTE THAT THINGS LIKE WEALTH, SOCIAL CONNECTIONS, HAVING A FOREIGN PASSPORT, BEING GOOD LOOKING ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE LIST OF VITAL TRAITS THAT MAKE A MARRIAGE SUCCESSFUL, HOWEVER THEY ARE A BONUS IF THEY ARE IN A POTENTIAL LIFE PARTNER . Wealth, good looks can greatly enhance the marriage experience but only if the vital criteria already listed above are present.
A "bad boy" or "bad girl" who succeeds in marrying a "good girl" or "good boy" will very likely eventually wreck their marriage unless they change and let's be honest change in adult life can be very very hard if not impossible. DON'T MARRY SOMEONE WITH THE FALSE HOPE THAT YOU CAN CHANGE THEM LATER .NO NO NO NO- YOU WILL BE WALKING STRAIGHT INTO A TRAP OF MISERY AND TERRIBLE UNHAPPINESS.
