  I often hear young single men and women saying that they long one day to marry a "good boy" or "good girl". What many of them fail to understand is that the ability to make a good choice or be able to attract the right person starts with themselves. I always say that God is a fair God and so why should He allow you to marry one of His godly sons or daughters (who have been fervently praying for a godly spouse) to fall into your hands when you have been living a life of disobedience and ungodliness characterized by indiscipline, self-indulgence, laziness ,lack of purpose or lack of ambition?
  The ability to for a young person to one day be able to make the vital choice of a good marriage partner starts early. The godly values we cultivate or develop is what eventually molds our character and character in turn is what profoundly influences the most important choices we make in life such the career or vocation we aim for or the spouse we choose to marry or the friends we choose.
  Values like:
  BEING CONSIDERATE TOWARDS OTHERS
  KINDNESS
  NOT HARBOURING RESENTMENT ,NOT PRONE TO ANGER TANTRUMS
  HAVING INTEGRITY (HONESTY)
  BEING HARDWORKING & INDUSTRIOUS,BEING A GOOD STRATEGIST
  BEING RESILIENT,PATIENT AND ABLE TO LEARN FROM MISTAKES
  HAVING HUMILITY (NOT THE SAME AS BEING TIMID OR FEARFUL)
  ABOVE ALL TO HAVE REVERENCE FOR GOD AND LIVE IN OBEDIENCE TO THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. IF YOU CHERISH THESE VALUES ABOVE AND ARE WORKING TO CULTIVATE THEM IN YOURSELF THEN YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO MANIFESTS THE SAME GODLY TRAITS.
  Galatians Ch5 verse 22-23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
