Some folk here really need to grow up. Your ex remains your ex once you are married to someone else or once they are married to someone else.Both they and you are off limits to each other or to anybody else for that matter. No matter how good -looking our ex was, no matter how exciting they were in the past,how kind they were or how captivating they once were when we married somebody else we moved on Nobody who understand and takes seriously the true meaning of marriage ever goes back to an Ex. Some people will inevitably run into and Ex boyfriend or ex girl friend if they both live in the same country or area.I know that nowadays some folk who consider themselves "enlightened" will even invite their Ex to their wedding! I think that is extremely foolish. You Ex can never be your best friend.
MARRIAGE HEDGES: Once we marry we have a responsibility to plant hedges or fences around our marriage by what we do and especially by what we no longer have the liberty to do.WE MUST NEVER: 1.turn to our Ex as confidants and share things about our marriage even if our present marriage is facing some difficulties.
2. Activities that promote emotional intimacy such as meeting and dining or wining together at a restaurant ,travelling together, working together with an Ex will likely lead to trouble.
3.Stop talking constantly or frequently about your Ex to your spouse. Your spouse would by far appreciate your praise and gratitude for her good points. Some years ago I heard how one very stupid fellow even dared to compare his love-making with his ex to that with his wife and mother of his children- the consequences of his utterance was immediate - no beroom games for over a few months!
I personally know how to contact my Ex (I was never married to them and did not indulge in hanky panky either) if I wanted because my Ex has an internet presence- But will I ever do so?- NO WAY.First of all I am now happily married to a person who has always treated me as someone very special and who has been an amazing companion in the marriage journey. I still thank God for allowing my Ex to dump me many years ago because it allowed me to meet the love of my life. Someone recently chided me for never ever contacting my ex! My reply was "Are you crazy? Why would I want to do that for? My spouse is worth their weight in GOLD.
