  Many of Ghana's "super rich" are not really rich. They are simply big spenders or what the psychologist call HYPERCONSUMERS. These pretend rich boys and girl have a compulsive and irresistible urge to look rich which makes them spend money on material possessions that depreciate with time (e.g cars).The very few wise ones amongst them know that the only way to grow your wealth is to live frugally (be very disciplined and not waste money on unimportant things like endless expensive parties, cars, holidays abroad) at least in the early years and instead to focus on saving and investing as much of their earnings as possible.
  That is how most millionaires make their money. I highly recommend Dr Thomas Stanley's books "THE MILLIONAIRE NEXT DOOR" and "THE MILLIONAIRE MIND" these books are based on real research on the lives of numerous multimillionaires in the USA. The surprising thing is that the vast majority of the millionaires in the USA actually live ordinary lives and did not start with any high income. Popstars, Films stars Sports personalities actually represent a very very tiny percentage of millionaires in that country and are not amongst the richest because of their high consumption lifestyle( in fact most go completely broke once they go past their peak years)and are not good examples to follow.
