Bro, you're wrong with this assertion. Better do your homework well else it won't be long, and a bunch of your members will be gone. Testing is different from practicing it. Mark it somewhere.

I agree with him, a church I attend in Australia I has the best musicians among the Ghanaian community churches.
Yet, no one stays the for long because of the attitude of it members.

We have a big church but you can barely get more than 40 members on Sunday and the church was founded 20years ago.

Over 3 decades I have both witnessed and attended churches that had the most beautiful music played by "professional" or semi-professional musicians. Praise and worship was relegated or farmed out to these musicians who often were allowed to choose the songs to be played. The congregations simply tagged along. Often the musicians were in their twenties and thirties were more or less given leadership roles in the "music ministry" clearly reflecting the modern circular trend of exalting youth over age and experience. The immaturity of some of these musicians and "worship leaders" was often painfully manifest.Their musical talents or social connections within the church trumped spiritual maturity! They became arrogant and equated their musical talents to spirituality. Corporate or congregational singing was either relegated to a low second place or completely non existent. These youngsters generally chose very modern songs or songs they had composed, songs that could not be sang without complicated instrumental accompaniment. If you were older than 45 years you struggled to keep up with their complicated music. This kind of music closely mirrors what is in the circular world not just in tunes (which by itself would be ok) but in superficial content.
Another thing glaringly missing is the excessive emphasis on Praise songs. Gone are the songs that call the believer to live a life that honours God or that encourages us be obedient to God's word as we see in the Holy Scriptures ,particularly in the Psalms.
In some churches there seems to be a constant strenuous effort to "modernize" everything with time-honoured bible-based liturgical practises swept out and replaced by modern nonsense. I have attended three weddings in the last 5 years where the marriage vows spoken by booth the groom and bride were written by themselves and excluded key words like for "sickness or health" ,in poverty or in riches". The focus was slanted towards self-fulfilment and individual rights. Ironically Most of the wedding I have attended in the last decade which adhered to the old marriage vows used by churches for hundreds of years were by people who did not consider themselves very religious.
IN SHORT ALL-BIBLE BELIEVING CHRISTIANS SHOULD GUARD AGAINST THE CURRENT DANGEROUS TREND OF TRYING TO UPDATE OR MODERNISE CHRISTIANITY BY CASTING OUT GOD HONOURING PRINCIPLES IN FAVOR OF MAN-MADE, MAN-PLEASING ARRANGEMENTS WHICH CLOSELY MIRROR THE WORLD OUTSIDE. The Word of God has withstood the test of time since the Creation of the World and will continue to outlast human attempts to manipulate or supplant or dilute it with ideas and principles that are not Biblical. By all means we should modernize our tunes but we must not cast out Bible principles. Also let's not blindly follow the current circular trend of worshiping youth and casting out out experience. The energy of the youth must be combined with the invaluable experience that comes with maturity to promote the gospel of Christ.
