  No matter how independent we may feel it is only a matter of time when we will need the help of others.Today's enemies can turn ou to be your best friends and suporters tomorrow and some of your so-called friends today could end up being your enemies tomorrow.A lot of people become "independent" ,withdraw into themselves because they have been badly hurt,betrayed and now feel vulnerable and feel disillusioned because of the actions of people they relide on or teusted.They feel that being independent or introverted will protect them from further hurts and dissappointments.
  Far more important is learning not to hold on to hurts,grudges, slights and grievances against those who have insulted us,abused us, taken advantage of us, or treated us disrespectfully. We forgive these people for our own emotional and spiritual wellbeing even if they don't ever say sorry or act in a way that proves they are sorry for harming us. Forgiving somebeody does not necessarily mean that they can become our bosom friends again especially after massive betrayal.Reconciliation takes es things to a higher level.True reconcialtion requires that all sides acknowledge wrong doing ,all sides say sorry, all sides forgive, all sides decide and are willing to let bygones be bygones and all sides be prepared to live with with PRESENT REALITIES.Reconcialition always requires humility, a desire to take the higher ground, requires a great deal of effort and determination
