Every Ghanaian has a constitutional right to demonstrate see Article 21(1)(d) of the 1992 constitution and the holding in NPPv IGP case but Article 12(2) provides whilst at it you must also respect Public interest and the right of others!!
Don't mix the criminality and the aim or objective of the Demonstration together don't
They were right to Demonstrate but they were never right with the excesses that their leaders orchestrated that is the difference.
Just take a look at the videos,Don't those going to 37 Military hospital,travelling etc also had a right per Article 12(2)?Are you telling us that part of the aim to Demonstrate was the insulting people,inconveniencing passengers,For instance travelling to Dodowah Aburi Kdua,to sit in cars for well over 5hrs?burning of tyres etc was that the reason for the demonstration?Come on!!!
Let's be real honest when something is wrong it's wrong.

But,Did you read Martin Kpebu V AG well what did it say? Educate the uninformed here!! Go back and Read Act 30 s. 96(7) in tandem with Article 14(2)(4) and Gorman v The Republic read them together.
To buttress my point am stating on authority that Granting of Bail in the Mist of Martin Kpebu (No2) v A G
Is not and I repeat is not automatic!!
If the sitting Judge is not convinced based on facts before him or her the law permits the decline of bail!!

"Martin Kpebu reveals why Democracy Hub protesters were denied bail" read from Ghanaweb on 28th Sept 2024 abd come again!!this time come with a better legal argument devoid of insults and better case laws.
To help you he said the main reason the court gave Was that the arrested persons addresses were unknown.
He Martin Kpebu further explain that other factors were unlawful assembly,unlawful conduct and misdemeanors.
The proponent himself has agreed that that discretion is at the convenience of the court.
So stop insulting and come again with a strong argument enjoy your day!!
