We should blame David Osei's grandmother? Nonsense. Ghanaians have elected and paying Akuffo Addo and Timothy Bawumia to rule this country. So far they have proven to us that they have no idea about governance and rule of law. Akuffo Addo has the power to pack the Supreme Court with matemeho ideologues and the EC with NPP footsoldiers. Strangely, he is powerless to fight galamsey? Like seriously? What is his job? He only came with his family and friends to steal our money and destroy Ghana? Naniama.

  Blame everyone; the chiefs, opinion leaders, the people, and politicians. The communities need to educated about the harm of galamsey, so they know that whatever they are earning now can't mitigate the impending consequences. On the political side, when Akufo-Ado was busy fighting galamsey in his first term, John Dramani was promising to give amnesty to galamsey culprits. So, unfortunately he gave up because he didn't want to lose the elections. All of us know galamsey activities started escalating somewhere 2009 and by 2016 it was getting worst. If a major contender like John Dramani is promising galamsey, this administration would do same because they know they're going to lose if they ban it. But, no party wants to lose. Until both NDC and NPP make a collective manifesto policy to ban it, the galamsey operators will continue their blackmail whiles the rest of us lament in vain and wait the for the consequences. The same people who are destroying the water bodies will cry out again to government to provide them potable water. The communities themselves have the power to stop galamsey but they love doing it. The lands are owned by traditional authorities and no one can mine without their consent, yet they happily lease the lands. Government alone can't fight galamsey anymore considering their scope of operations. When NDC/NPP politics infect a crisis in Ghana, finding solutions becomes difficult.

Listen to the Opensuo again, he said almost all of the chiefs know those who are involved in galamsey. Have you heard any Ndc politician or Volta Chief engage in galamsey?   A failed actor trying to be relevant in order to be given a position in NPP. Ghanaians have every reason to blame this Akuffo Addo for the menace of Galamsey because he put his presidency on line to fight and eradicate galamsey but he ended up promoting it rather with most of his ministers being involved while he buried his head in the sand like an ostrich does. Just with a stroke of his pen , Akuffo Addo could have stopped galamsey for good. But even the mining equipment seized at galamsey sites were sold back to his cronies to perpetuate the menace.It is incumbent on Prince Osei to know his facts before coming forward with this gibberish.

The government bears the responsibility for tackling galamsey operators, and when that government continues to turn a blind eye on the ever growing menace of galamsey, that government bears the blame for its failure to stop the menace. How can a government ignore a serious criminality openly unfolding across the nation? The government is derelict in its duty to protect Ghana's lands, rivers and natural resources from galamsey criminals, and Ghanaians have no choice but to blame the government.
