  As they say, prevention is better than cure. This is why making the right life choices is so critically important.
  The real problem we should all be addressing is the inability of most of us to choose well from the word go.
  To be able to choose well we need to have the right values ,principles and beliefs regarding the important issues of life. The values and principles we have in turn determine our own character. AS WE ALL KNOW CHARACTER IS EVERYTHING.
  If we believe that marriage is a life-long experience at its very best ,if we believe that character traits such as consideration for others, gentleness, kindness, generosity, respectfulness towards others, being hard working and having a healthy ambition are important then we would be well placed to practise these in our own life and also look for these same qualities in the person we hope to marry. Just as equally important are qualities such as truthfulness, cleanliness and tenacity. These very same qualities if you notice are qualities that you would expect to find in abundance in someone who reverences God and is GOD-FEARING (NOT THE SAME AS A REGULAR CHURCH GOER).
  By the way teaching sunday school, singing in the choir or even preaching will not by itself make a person Godly.
  The first question for anybody looking for a good spouse (husband or wife) should be AM I A GOD FEARING PERSON MYSELF? Do the qualities listed above apply to me?
  If the answer is yes then you can go ahead and start looking for the same qualities in your future spouse.
  And stay out of bed before marriage. Sex is a very powerful emotional binder or glow and therefore indulging in it outside marriage can lead to a premature bonding to an undesirable person. This clouds our judgement and leads to bad choices with serious consequences later on in life.
