Seeing some people don't observe doesn't mean it shouldn't be observed by true one's too, neither does it mean biblical principles should be laid aside.

My roommate at the tertiary level tried to convert me, a Christian to SDA. He failed. I don't have to be an SDA to rest on Saturday. Even the Jews are divided over how the sabbath should be observed. Some say you don't have to cook at all. All your utensils are also under the sabbath law. Others say cooking is permitted.
Sad thing is that, when Jesus healed a human being on the sabbath, the religious leaders of His day had problems with it.
I ask an SDA friend of mine who is a nurse at Pantang why she goes to work on Saturdays and she said she's exempt from the law because of the essential nature of her work. I'm yet to read that in my bible.
I used to work for someone who went to church on Saturdays but expected his subordinates to come to work for him on Saturdays. I stopped doing that fast! I also rest on Saturdays now.
