  Pastor Oduro has made a very valid point which incidentally applies to men as well. Personal appearance in men does matter as well. An untidy appearance does matter. Turning up at your girlfriend's home sweaty, smelly or unkempt is hardly going to do you any favors. Some folk just can be bothered to look baseline decent. You don't have to wear expensive clothing to impress your boyfriend or girlfriend or their parents unless they are the fickle kind in which case you should run for your life. And don't forget there is something called a toothbrush ( if you can't afford this a chewing stick will do fine. In fact the traditional chewing stick has already been proven by scientific research to be superior in many ways to the toothbrush from abroad and it cost far less).
  Now back to the matter of the appearance of a woman . This is what apostle Paul had to say and ladies please pay close attention;
  1Peter 3 Vs 3-5 (NIV)
  3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 5 For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves.
  For the men and everyone else read verse 7 onwards to see what counts most with the God of heaven
  
  TO SUMMARISE: CHARACTER IS EVERYTHING AND GODLINESS DETERMINES CHARACTER.
