  Allow me add my voice to this article which sort to make some note about the borborbo dance and music. it originated from the Kpando traditional area and has garnered support along the Volta Region and has represented the uniqueness of the voltarians for long in Durbars, funerals and marriage ceremonies. in aspect of tourism and any other important event, this music and dance is the icing on the cake. Pls note this is a traditional dance like (kete/adowa/kpalogo) and any other Ghanaian traditional dance which is and remains indigenous to the people of that particular area.
  Fast forward the dilution and intrusion of bad energy/moves into our beloved dance. Irrespective of where you hail from and how you see Borborbor these days have nothing to do with the original dance and music we once experienced. The music and dance which we enjoy as traditional people will not accept the norm of intentionally shaking of buttock hence the new naming of it as "TWERKING". These practices are coming from a less proud and inferior EWEs who by some sort of false acceptance have to create a selfish style of dance to be accepted as Borborbor which has even creped it way into the EWE community where most young ones who dont even have any idea of the originality of the EWE culture jump on the wagon to dance and practice these inferior tactical moves. To note, some Chiefs and Elders have VEHEMENTLY discard such dances/music even at their own events just to show disapproval of same. Borborbor is a well organize dance and music which sort to give the dancers self expression in the way they communicate/moves to the rhythm/speak to elders/welcome Presidents chiefs and elders and even love notes to a suitor. it is to be noted that days gone past competitions were organize for the best dance group to emerge as the best group with new songs etc. those were the day where borborbor was not commercialize but enjoyed during events to the admiration of all present. the dance already involves bending and using the backside to movements which communicates as stated earlier.
  The excessive concentration and intentional shaking of the backside to the admiration of viewers has nothing to do with original Borborbor. These are people with commercial motives who have diluted and infuriate our culture practices with money on their mind. I watch with sadness and shame when these young ladies because of money will denigrate themselves to this level of sex toys and object just to make some few cedis. Even is you're paid a ghc10,000 for a performance or an event how much are you due with other participants in the group (drummers/clappers/others) I also watch with elders who have lost their morals behind these drummers clapping and watching with faces one cannot determine what their minds are focusing on.
  The origianl borborbor starts with intro/ get heated before the drum even comes in/it takes time for dancers to form their queue and grace the occasion with their beautiful orchestrated moves plan during rehearsal purposely for that event.
  We will have to write our own story, the contemporary EWE have lost their roots/sense of humor/morals/cultural values/self esteemed as most if not by their names cannot be said to be EWES, others whom we know pretends even to have come from an EWE land to even speak the language. Most are shy and ashamed to be associated with their own kind hence the pretense and the fake lives that have brought us to this level where even dance and songs have to be infused with bad characters and images to make it appealing to the cancer driven society.
  Adowa like Borborbor uses the same style of backside but has never been diluted with any other inferior move, no one can dance the Adowa any better than how it is supposed to be. it unique and serve the purpose as the original Borborbor dance.
  Other cultural Ghanaian dance from any tribe have kept to the original style and in no circumstance do we see any dilution or deviation not even our local Kpalogo/Kpashimo and the WULOMEI music WHICH WE ENJOY UPTO DATE. I still enjoy the same Homowo Kpasimo dance the way i know it since childhood and upon decades the GA's have not sort to change anything about it because it is unique and peculiar to the people of GA tribe and they are proud of it. To my EWE brothers it is not late and can never be late to consult those who started Borborbor from Kpando who are still alive and learn practice and perform the right music and dance FOR THIS IS OUR PRIDE AS VOLTARIAN - Likewise Agbadza has kept it status since time past. pls NOTE what we see these days on TV3 etc and other events of ASS shaking has nothing to do with our dance.
  
  kudos to David/MAWUETA/SENYO and those who have composed songs for the continuation of our beloved Borborbor but there's still more to be learnt to make things better.

  Borborbor was invented by Ghana's dance king Aplanke Bawumia when he wanted to find a dance move that he could use to dance away from his Julor House government's failed policies. Bawumia recently disclosed that his boss Akufo-Addo can do a mean borborbor.

  RAS seems to be a Rastafarian, whose belief, just like members of the Abram religions denounce some dance moves.
  It looks like there is no profanity in Borborbor like ballet, gymatism and other European dances.
