Yvonne Nelson turns 30: Calls herself the Yaa Asantewaa of our time

Actress Yvonne Nelson is celebrating her 30th birthday today.

As part of acknowledging where she started from, where is has gotten to and where she intends to go, the House Of Gold actress referred to herself as the Yaa Asantewaa of our time.

The Yaa Asantewaa title can be linked to the courage she gathered to organize a demonstration hash tagged#Dumsormuststop#.

A display she organised against all odds to make sure that Ghana’s current power crises be worked on.

She posted it on her Instagram page and it read;

12- 11- 2015 ???????? ......some 30years ago, an amazing woman had me......she's been by my side ever since.....she did it all ALONE???????? with Gods help.....she gave me the best of everything.......love,shelter,education,her time and most importantly to believe in God and The Bible. On this day I say THANK YOU MAMA....There's non like you.....I love you so much it scares me, your name will never leave my lips......and I will continue making you proud????????. I promise.....
