Leader of the Universal Spiritual Outreach, Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, popularly known as Ajagurajah, has stated that anyone who visits his premises must wash their hands and feet before being allowed entry.

Speaking in an interview on UTV on March 14, 2026, Ajagurajah explained that the practice is part of the spiritual principles he follows.

According to him, he believes that several angels surround him, making it necessary to maintain a high level of spiritual cleanliness within his premises.

“I have 71 angels who are actively around me. If you read Exodus 30:17, you would understand why you need to wash your hands and feet before entering my premises,” he said.

During the interview, he asked one of his followers to read the biblical passage from the Book of Exodus as he explained the significance of the instruction.

Ajagurajah compared the practice to the purification rituals performed by Muslims before prayer.

“It’s just like how Muslims perform ablution before entering the mosque. It’s a sin if they don’t perform ablution before praying,” he stated.

He noted that members of his spiritual group follow similar hygiene practices, especially before engaging in prayer.

“When the men and women urinate here, they use a kettle to wash their private parts, just as Muslims do. We have mats here that we use for prayers and we also prostrate to pray,” he explained.

According to him, maintaining cleanliness in sacred spaces is important because he believes divine presence exists in such places.

“You can’t bring dirt to my place. In any sacred place, we don’t wear slippers. We believe God is here, angels are here, so you can’t bring your slippers here,” he shared.

Ajagurajah stressed that the rule applies to everyone who visits the premises, regardless of their status.

“Anyone who refuses to wash their hands and feet won’t be allowed to enter my premises. No matter who you are, I won’t allow you here,” he said.

He further stated that visitors who are unwilling to follow the rule would either have to leave or meet him somewhere else.

“Either you go back, or I take you to my private house. It’s my law, so if you go by it, I would also get problems and the person can’t save me,” he added.
