Vitesse and Amoah contract extension deadlock

Eredivisie high-flyers Vitesse who are keen to extend the contracts of their key-players, would also like to extend the deal of Ghanaian attacker Matthew Amoah but are having difficulty in breaking the deadlock concerning his wage demands.

With the 24-year-old impressing with his performances in this campaign Amoah believes he should be given an improvec deal.

"He has got a considerable contract, at the opening of contract negotiations footballers mostly expect that the offer is something better, that we still have to look at."
