Management of Emmanuel Adom Quaye, otherwise known as ‘Strika’ of ‘Beast Of No Nation’ fame, MK Content has revealed the likely reason for his consistent truancy from school results from his alleged street hawking.

According to Mawuko Kuadzi, CEO OF MK Content and management of ‘Strika’, the young actor says he is not interested in school and aspires to be a welder albeit his acting passion hence his indifference towards school.

Even though management was privy to his aspiration, they felt the need to put him in school to suit acting roles.

“Strika has lived on the streets all his life. He told me, he wants to be a welder in future. He does not want to go to school at all (He cannot write or read properly. However, he is improving on his English proficiency).

He has ran away from school so many times… Now that he has attained the legal age, he is entitled to his decision. He wants to be out of school- So be it”, Mawuko told Arnold Elavanyo Mensah on Showbiz Agenda.

Currently, Strika is out of school, however, management hopes to nurture him through private lessons to help him improve.

The 18-year old orphan, who was spotted on the streets of Accra by one Caleb Boye begging for alms, was enrolled in Cape Coast Montessori School at the primary school level.

In further developments after the issue broke out, Strika recounted how unfairly he has been treated after starring the ‘Beast Of No Nation’ movie.

However, his management quickly debunked all claims in a press release.

MK Content is responsible for managing aspects of activities of Fred Amugi, Akorfa Edjeani, Nana Ama McBrown, Abraham Attah, Daniel Delong,Kobina Sam, Strika among other, as well as casting calls.
