Sarkodie became the first rapper from Africa to be crowned winner of BET Best International Flow – a newly created award category – at the just ended BET Hip Hop awards 2019.
Several artistes from the entertainment industry both local and international have reacted to the good news.
Key of such artistes is Ghana’s dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy who in a tweet sited by GhanaWeb has idolized Sarkodie for the remarkable niche he’s achieve in his music career.

Some entertainment industry players who have openly shared in Sarkodie’s joy include; DKB, Kwesi Arthur, Maame Serwaa, Medikal, Mr Eazi, John Dumelo and several others.
In Sarkodie's acceptance speech, he used the opportunity to sell Africa to the world.
He said; "I just want to say thank you to the Almighty God. To the family, this one is for my Lil girl Titi…. I think Africa has always had it and it is about that time. This year is the Year of Return and I will urge each and every one of you here to take a trip back home”.
