Ghanaian musician Showboy has weighed in on the ongoing legal troubles involving Ghanaian influencer SoAfrican, questioning the image the influencer projects on social media.
Speaking during a TikTok live session, Showboy claimed that SoAfrican is not as wealthy or as influential as he portrays himself online.
According to the rapper, the influencer only associates himself with high-profile personalities to create an impression of success and importance.
He further alleged that SoAfrican follows several well-known personalities, including Ghanaian musician King Promise, to maintain a certain public image.

“That guy called SoAfrican, it’s all packaging, he doesn’t have anything. He follows King Promise and others to the club, but he has nothing,” Showboy said
Touching on the issues surrounding SoAfrican’s recent arrest, Showboy argued that the influencer’s actions reflect someone who lacked real wealth despite the lifestyle he displayed online.
“They said he has done something, it’s only those who don’t have anything that do that, it is those kinds of people that do something as stupid as that,” Showboy insisted
According to him, people who are genuinely wealthy would not engage in the kind of acts that reportedly led to the influencer’s legal troubles.
Showboy also commented on the women linked to the controversy, stating that the ladies involved likely had an interest in SoAfrican, otherwise they would not have associated themselves with him in the first place.
“He did not need to do what he did,” the rapper suggested, insisting that the attention SoAfrican received from women already showed that they liked him.
