AMG artiste, Medikal says his girlfriend, Sister Debby, did not console him when he won nothing at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).

According to him, although he was disappointed for losing all seven categories he was nominated in, they both had fun in the auditorium and headed home right after the show.

Speaking to Delay on the ‘Delay Show’, Medikal said knew he was not affected by the loss, a reason his girlfriend made no attempt to console him.

“She didn’t say anything. We were talking and laughing. She knows the kind of person I am so she didn’t try to console me. I’m the type of person who gives no attention to certain things. I’m not fragile. She had just returned from Belgium. I had missed her so we went home after the awards to have fun,” he said.

Medikal who was nominated in Afropop Song of the Year, Hiphop Song of the Year, Hiplife/HipHop Artiste of the Year, Best Rapper of the Year, Best Collaboration of the Year, Best New Artiste of the Year and Artiste of the Year categories could not clinch a single award.

A section of the public argued that at least, he should have been crowned the Best New Artiste of the Year considering his works the year under review but the rapper advised all to show respect to Fancy Gadam saying, the Tamala-based artiste merited the trophy.
