Sarkodie’s 'Adonai' makes it to Revolt TV’s top 9 songs

Undoubtedly one of the most successful musicians across the African continent, Ghanaian rap artist and multiple award winner Sarkodie’s 2014 hit single Adonai which features Castro, has been listed among the top 9 songs to jump start your Afrobeat addiction by American music cable network Revolt TV.

Afrobeat, a wave which was resurrected after Fela Kuti started years back seems to the sound of the future and has already taken over the world by storm. For many who are yet to get addicted, this list perfectly fits well for you.

Mainly occupied by music from Ghana’s West African neighbours Nigeria, Sarkodie and Ghanaian UK based artist Fuse ODG were the only Ghanaians to make the list.

In no particular order, Revolt TV listed Wizkid’s Ojuelegba, Collabo from P Square ft Don Jazzy, Johnny from Yemi Alade, Skelewu from Davido, Azonto – Fuse ODG feat. Tiffany, Adonai from Sarkodie ft Castro, “Bum Bum Remix from Timaya feat. Machel Montano, Romantic from Korede Bello feat. Tiwa Savage and “Abeg Abeg from Burna Boy as the best songs to listen to as a new listener of Afrobeats music.

Described as a “Twi-rapping Ghanaian performer with a killer sense of style and business sense”, Sarkodie’s Adonai as at the time of publication had over 31 million views.
