Red Sea Housing fulfils sponsorship pleadge to Olympics

Accra, May 8, GNA - Red Sea Housing Services, an estate developing company on Tuesday presented a 368 million cedi chegue ($40,000) in fulfilment of their sponsorship pledge with Accra Great Olympics for the just ended soccer season. The amount is the final instalment of a 50,000 dollar sponsorship pledge from the company for last season, 10,000 dollars of which was paid upfront to Olympics at the start of the just ended Premier League. Mr Mark Sumner, General Manger of Red Sea Sevices presented the chegue and pledged the continued assistance of the company to the Club for the coming seasons.

"We are very much encouraged by the performance of the Club considering that Olympics just returned to the premiership following its relegation two years back.

"For them to return and upstage seventy per cent of the clubs in the premiership and judging from where they were coming from is very encouraging, hence we are happy to be associated with them." Mr Amarkai Amarteifio, Board Chairman of Olympics recieved the cheque on behalf of the Club and expressed the gratitude of the followeers of the Club to the company for fulfilling their sponsorship promise for the past two years.

He said that the fulfilment of the pledge and the continued support of the company will encourage the playing body to perform better in the coming years with the knowledge that their effort would definitely be rewarded.

Mr Amarteifio also used the occassion to thank Nii Otu Tagoe, a staunch supporter of the Club for donating a cash of five million cedis to the playing body and appealed to other sympathisers of the Club to follow in his stead to make the Club chalk further successes. Present at the ceremony was Harry Mouzalas, Secretary to the Board of Patrons.
