As part of our contribution to Ghana's Golden Jubilee, we a running a special TV-show on "GREAT GHANAIANS" and we shall be very grateful if you kindly publicise the attached press release in the next appropriate edition of your respected medium so the Ghanaian Nation can take note and participate.

PRESS RELEASE (for Immediate Publication)

“OUR GREATEST GHANAIANS™

1. Background We, Afromedia Film and Television International Group GmbH, are an Africa-bias multimedia house incorporated and based in Germany. As part of our contribution to the 50th anniversary of Ghana independence from British colonial rule, we are executing “OUR GREATEST GHANAIANS™” radio and television series and hereby invite all patriotic Ghanaians to take part. The series will run between the 6th March 2007 runs and the 6th March 2008.

2. Objectives Our Greatest Ghanaians™ programme aims at: a. Explaining how Black Africa’s first independent country is repositioning itself 50 years on b. Examining how Ghana is preparing and responding to globalization. c. Paying tribute to all Ghanaians who saw the independence of their country meaningless unless it was likened to the total liberation of the African continent. d. Profiling the male and female Ghanaians who shaped the destiny of their nation.

3. Target Audience / Marketing Outlet The programme will be distributed in various formats directly and indirectly to these audiences and outlets: a. Over 250 million West Africans (ECOWAS Market) b. Over 21.8 million Ghanaians at home and around 3 million the Diaspora c. 950 million African consumers(African Market) d. 191 Television Channels e. schools and libraries f. All Embassies of Ghana in the world (DVD versions for country promotion) g. An interactive web portal for (global promotions) h. A Book version of OUR GREATEST GHANAIANS with relevant facts.

4. Stakeholders/ Interviewees The series will feature nominated Ghanaians from governments, parastatals, private sector, women in management and business, farmers, down to the silent everyday heroes. In addition, prominent and historic personalities of all works of life will be profiled.

5. Field Production, Format and Durations The actual field production is expected last 12 months as it will take the production crews involving local production outfits, across the 4 corners of Ghana and through all sectors of the Ghanaian society. An editorial team will prepare a list of nominees to be complemented by nominations from the general public. This will then be followed by voting (E-mail, SMS and Telephone) to be converged in a reality television & radio show running till the 6th March 2008 when the final line of up the 100 GREATEST GHANAIANS will be known. An all-inclusive Ghanaian team of socio-political and cultural experts will be hired to advise the producers in all ways that would ensure fair play and credibility.

6. Brand Placement/ Sponsorship Ghana’s Golden Jubilee will be used by the global media and analysts to measure the progress of Sub-Sahara Africa in the last 50 years. This will create an unprecedented exposure and marketing possibility for Ghana’s political economy. As a result, Afromedia Film & TV International Group GmbH has made arrangements for CORPORATE GHANA and other concerned parties to place their brand in “OUR GREATEST GHANAIANS™” reality show.

7. Deadline All those who believe they are “somebody” in Ghana and would like to place their brands (advertise) in this radio & TV series should fill and return our official entry form in original with their corporate videos (when available) or soft formats of their corporate identity on CDs and diskette (for publicity planning) to our addresses below on or before the 30th SEPTEMBER 2006 (date for postage from Ghana). The brand placement space is limited and will be allocated o n the “first come, first serve” basis.

The entry form which can be requested from the email: Sankanu@afromediafilmtv.net must be accompanied by a serious letter of endorsement from the current chief executive or chairperson (mandated final decision maker). This is particularly important for institutions with high executive turnovers like parastatals, cabinet portfolios and other hot public outfits.

8. Anti-Fraud Warning Help us contain fraud. We are yet to officially name local broadcast, field production and marketing agents for this project. If you therefore receive phone calls, emails, “SMSes”, faxes, letters, brochures or personal messages from anybody claiming to be promoting “OUR GREATEST GHANAIANS™” or Afromedia Film & TV Int’l Group GmbH Germany on this matter, kindly call the police as the person(s) is an impostor and concept (copyright) thief!

All major updates will be communicated to the respondents via publication in respected Ghanaian print media and or through direct international business courier. To protect the entry form from identity theft and abuse, we suspend uploading it on our website (www.afromediafilmtv.net) and will instead be sending it directly to serious enquirers in the manner requested (secured, email, fax, post, etc).

For efficiency, the entire preproduction and postproduction process will be centrally coordinated form our studios in Cologne City, Germany in the FIRST INSTANCE. From January 2006 onwards, a local subsidiary trading as “Afromedia Film & Television Ghana Limited” will be formed in Accra for local coordination among others.
