Selection of Candidates Must Not Divide NDC

The Upper East Regional Minister, Mr. David Osei-Wusu, has appealed to the Regional Executive, supporters and sympathisers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to allow the selection of Parliamentary candidates for the various constituencies create tension among the people.

He advised the NDC party faithful to bury all their differences and see themselves as belongings to one family, adding that it is through unity and hard work that we can ensure total victory for the party in the forthcoming general elections.

Mr. Osei-Wusu made the appeal when the NDC Regional Executive members in the Upper East called on him at his office at Bolgatanga.

The call was primarily to welcome him to the region from the Upper West as the new Regional Minister.

Mr. Osei-Wusu observed with concern the tension that has greeted him on his assumption of office as a result of the selections of Parliamentary Candidates.

He said he was happy to assume the position of the Regional Minister for the Upper East and, therefore, promised to work hard to bring more development to the area.

The Regional Minister urged the people not to hesitate to consult him on any matters relating to the healthy growth of the party and the general well-being of the region,s saying that his doors are always open to any manner of people.

The Regional Chairman of the NDC, Alhaji of the NDC, Alhaji Patience Abubakar Fudu, in his opening remarks, that the executive is committed to co-operating with the Regional Minister in all endeavours of his administration.

The Deputy General-Secretary of the NDC, Mr. Jacob Baba, advised the Regional Executive to continue with the zeal and enthusiasm with which they have upheld the party since 1992 and work for the party to win the December elections.
