Majid, Yvonne Nelson and others nominated for NAFCA 2013

A tall list of Ghanaian movies and film stars have been recognised for the upcoming third annual Nollywood & African Film Critics’ Awards (NAFCA) 2013.

Majid Michel leads the pack with a nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role in The Price. The movie also earned a nomination for ace actor Kofi Adjorlolo for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

Adjetey Anang got two nods for Best Actor in a Leading Role for the movie The Hunters and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Kafui Danku's Letters To My Mother.

Screen gem Jackie Appiah is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Diaspora film for Turning Point and Best Actress in Leading Role for The Hunters.

The movie The Price is also in contention for the Best Costume and Best Make-up awards.

Ghanaian series Adams Apples has been nominated in Best TV/ Online Series category, while Letters to My Mother is nominated for Best Screenplay.

Other industry players nominated include Kalsoume Sinare, Yvonne Nelson, Van Vicker, Eddie Watson, Pascal Amanfo, among others.

Scheduled to take place at the Warner Theatre, Washington DC, USA on Saturday 14th September 2013, the awards ceremony will see some of the biggest names in the African film industry in attendance.
