Leila Djansi goes ‘gaga’ on Facebook again

Recently, award winning filmmaker, Leila Djansi decided to perch her wit against all odds and come out the names of some top amazing Ghanaian actors that she thought deserved to be praised by the world at large from Ghana.

From her expressions, it seems that those she didn’t mention just meant that they haven’t done their homework well. Leila over the years has been branded as controversial with her conventional way of commenting on and analysing issues.

Most of these thoughts have brought her back slaps and even pseudo jabs on matters germaine to the larger interest of Ghanaians but as a critic in her own rights, she deserves the floor as no issue is too small or big be discussed by her.

The Sinking Sands director took over the social media to mention names, she came through with the use of sardonic humour on those acts that felt they were untouchable and as well gave a helping hand to those who will be bold enough to swallow the bitter pills.

According to her, her criteria for the list, “is people who have depth. People who can really go into that dark and fearful place and be laid bare.”

In that vein, she advised Nadia Buari to desist from “Americanizing” her English. Punched Luckie Lawson to “fix her accent”, went soft on Ama K. Abebrese, asked for a cinema helping hand for JOT Agyeman, among other issues.

If anyone thought she was done, then hear this, Leila advised Akofa Asiedu to go back to the basics and get some “major voice training for herself.”

With much said, below are the top actors that Leila Djansi ‘recognizes’ in Ghana:

1. Doris Sackitey

2. Brew Riverson Jnr

3. Oscar Provenscal

4. Nadia Buhari

5. Luckie Lawson

6. Kofi Middleton-Mends

7. Ama K Abebrese

8. Akosua Abdallah

9. Ekow Smith Asante

10. Jot Agyeman

11. Akofa Asiedu

12. Dela Djebu

Do you agree with Ms Leila or do you simply think she got it all wrong at this point?
