Kwaw Kese gets two more weeks behind bars

Rapper Kwaw Kese has once again been remanded to two more weeks behind bars as the prosecutors have failed to submit evidence in court.

The Kumasi Circuit Court today (Monday) had the second hearing of the case against the hiplife Streets King, who was arrested for illegally and publicly smoking weed.

The case will be recalled on December 22.

The Justice William Boampong court on Monday, November 24, 2014 denied the rapper’s lawyer Nana Kwesi Boitie’s plea for his client to be granted bail and remanded him in two weeks custody ahead of today’s sitting.

The prosecuting officer Emmanuel Aconnor, told the court they have still not received the forensic test results for the substance found on the rapper hence the delay.

The judge gave the prosecution two more weeks after which he will make his decision.

According to criminal law experts, ‘the man insane’, as he is commonly known is looking at serving a jail term of 10 or 11 years should he be found guilty.
