Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has promised to gift rapper M.anifest a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 after he won Rapper of the Year at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He made this promise when he was called on stage, together with actress Zynell Zuh, to present the Best Rapper award.

As reported by the Daily Guide Newspaper, Dumelo was apprehended by National Security operatives with a vehicle said to belong to the state.

It was retrieved from a spraying shop at Abelemkpe in Accra.

Dumelo, who campaigned vigorously for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the 2016 electioneering campaign, seemed unperturbed when he was ushered unto the stage with ‘Onaapo’, the popular campaign song for the then governing NDC.

With a dance as he made his way to present the award, the talented actor sang one of NPP’s campaign songs and said he would reward the winner of the category with a brand new 2017 V8 vehicle.

“The winner is getting a brand-new V8,” the crowd cheered as he added, “2017 model”.

Well that winner turned out to be the son of Tsatsu Tsikata, who defended the NDC government in the famous election petition case in 2013. Watch the video below:
