'Jamming Africa' radio show now on Y FM

After a year of well structured operations in Accra, one of Ghana’s newest but authoritative urban radio stations, Y FM Ghana (107.7MHz) has won the admiration of many discerning Ghanaians in Accra and beyond.

Y FM for the past year has successfully exhibited professionalism in its programming and promotions. The station manager, Mr. George Brun, has revealed that in the quest to further enhance the station’s programming for the New Year, starting on Sunday 10th January 2010, Y FM will begin broadcasting the world famous “Zain Jamming Africa Show”.

The Zain sponsored weekly 2-hour Top 20 countdown of The Africa Chart with hostess Brown Sugar, features hot new tracks from Africa and beyond, exclusive Backstage Pass interviews with top artists, special Field Operative reports from around the continent, Africa Live concert dates, exciting music and entertainment news, topical promos, custom promos with station ID, air time with custom extras by request.

The hostess Brown Sugar is the charismatic personality that made Radio Express' WORLD CHART SHOW such a long-run success in her native South Africa. Also known as one of South Africa's top TV presenters, she is a sought after MC, presenter and transformational speaker and has received a number of industry awards, including Artes and NTVA Awards. The Zain Jamming Africa Show airs on Y FM every Sunday from 1pm to 3pm.

Also currently running on the Accra based urban radio station is another internationally acclaimed radio show, “The Dave Koz Radio Show”. The Dave Koz Show features the Smooth Jazz format that has strong appeal to affluent adult listeners. Hosted by the Million-selling saxophonist Dave Koz, Dave takes his faithful following on a two-hour weekly tour featuring smooth jazz music from today and past smooth jazz hits, as well as pop classics with a smooth jazz feel. Airing Sundays from 3pm to 5pm on Y FM, each weekly show has a special guest or a special musical theme. Dave interviews many fellow musicians and features their comments and insights on the show.

You can also tune in to American Idol host Ryan Seacrest’s Show, “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Y FM, airing on Saturdays from midday till 2pm.
