I'm not taking money from fans at 'After The Storm' launch - Shatta Wale

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has confirmed officially that he won’t charge any amount from his fans when he unveils his album 'After The Storm'.

Shatta’s album dubbed 'After The Storm' has 20 songs on it after releasing scores of songs last year which have received massive airplay.

The album yet to be launched on 29th April, 2016 at the Independence Square has featuring including UK-based Ghanaian Afropop artiste, Fuse ODG who featured on one of the song for the upcoming album.

The 'Kakai' hit took to his official Facebook and posted “I am not taking any gate fee from any fan for this album launch because I really want to give back to them for the love they have shown me all these years… money is not everything .. Let’s keep the peace.. #ATS #BIEGYA #NOTIME

This he posted received huge comments and acknowledgement by fans to the Dancehall king.

Shatta Wale is one of the very outspoken and bold Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artistes who has been able to defend the genre over the past years.

For about 3 years consistently, Dancehall & Reggae music in Ghana has sat on almost all the other genres in Ghana.

The multiple award-winning Dancehall Icon was announced earlier this week to perform at the upcoming Oxford Africa Conference 2016.
