Gospel musician SP Kofi Sarpong has confidently expressed his desire to sweep all the awards in the categories he’s been nominated for in this year’s VGMA’s.

Sharing his expectations in an interview with KMJ on HitzFM, the gospel singer made it clear he has worked hard enough and deserves the most coveted award.

The gospel singer, who also passes as Superintendent of Police where his job entreats him to protect and provide security for the citizens, stated he will be the first gospel musician to win ‘Artiste Of The Year’ at the Ghana Music Awards.

SP Sarpong released his third studio album ‘I Believe’ in 2015 which featured the likes of Joyce Blessing on hit single ‘Hour by Hour’ and Jack Alolome.

The 11 - track album which has songs such as Afutusem, Woye Nyame and Hour By This Time has some of the country’s finest sound engineers like Nacy, Dave Joy, Shadrack Yawson, Daniel Bassey and Kumais based Collinstee work on the production and instrumentation.

The singer has been nominated in four categories at the upcoming VGMA’s including ‘Gospel Song Of The Year’, ‘Gospel Artiste Of The Year’, ‘Album Of The Year’ and the ultimate ‘Artiste Of The Year’.
