Hitz FM Presenter Kwame B Threatened Over Gossip

Hitz 103.7fm’s drive time host, Kwame B seems to have attracted the ire of some of his listeners and some celebrities for airing GROUND ZERO, a celebrity gossip segment on his show.

According to Kwame he recently got an anonymous message from an MTN number telling him to stop airing that segment or risk loosing his life. The threat which was sent via the number 0546159247 read “keep talking about people on your show; you are some few minutes to your grave”.

Speaking to the press, Kwame wondered why someone will choose to send him such a message considering the fact that Ground Zero is only a segment on his show stressing that he is even not the producer or presenter of that segment.

He however declined to name the presenter or the people behind the segment, stating that it is only brought to him to play on his show though he also did not reveal who delivers the show to him. Known for not only threading where most broadcasters or stations would not dare go but for also breaking celebrity gossips, GROUND ZERO is a celebrity gossip segment that airs at five after five on the cruise control.

You will recall that, Ground zero was the first radio segment that broke the news of a young female musician who dated the handsome footballer son of an old influential footballer; it was also the segment that broke the story of a popular late afternoon radio presenter who was being sacked from the Osu cross station for non-performance.

Ground zero also broke the story of the artiste manager who is also having an affair with a popular female artiste he discovered after she declined to be part of a talent show and who he manages.

It will interest readers to know that, Monday’s episode was the celebrity gossip segment’s 20th episode since the station starting broadcasting the five minutes long segment. It is still unclear which people are behind Ground zero or who the presenter is, as station officials have remained tight lipped on their identity.
