Musician/political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng [A Plus] has said Ghanaians hardly cherish legends in the arts industry.

He indicated that most legends in the entertainment industry have sadly passed away without being honoured.

Speaking about songs produced by some Ghanaian music legends in the entertainment industry, the hiplife artiste stated that genius should be well celebrated because their songs still enjoy airplay and others have been sampled by the current generation.

A Plus believes legendary status is not easily attained so it is only fitting that the fellow is duly celebrated.

“Ghanaians don’t value key players in the Arts Industry. I listen to songs from most of these music legends because there is a moral lesson in their songs.

“Every generation and what they prefer so I can’t conclude that in this our era, artistes aren’t doing what is right.

“I was sad when Papa Yankson, CK Mann and Jewel Ackah passed away without any proper honourary,” A-Plus stated on UTV

Ghana has produced great actors and musicians, many of whom have passed on to eternal glory; unfortunately, there are no records of their works, recognition and achievements.
