Actor Mikki Osei Berko threatens naked demo over foreign contents

Renowned actor and broadcaster Mikki Osei Berko has revealed going on a naked demonstration against the government if foreign contents on screens are not banned by December.

Speaking on UTV Showbiz hosted by Nana Ama McBrown, the actor who is best known for playing Master Richard in Taxi Driver and Dada Boat in Dada Boat indicated that these foreign contents have kept filmmakers out of business for many years because there are no policies to stop them.

Mikki Osei Berko urged the government to place a ban on foreign drama series (telenovelas) to save the county’s dying culture by implementing policies.

The famous actor said he finds it highly offensive seeing foreign drama series aired on television stations at primetime.

“It is the responsibility of the government to put structures in place for the arts industry.

“If by December, nothing is done about these foreign contents on television screens, I’ll personally march NAKED to the Jubilee House. Television stations show these foreign contents during prime time.” Mikki Osei Berko
