Check on rumours before action- Chief Commissioner

Accra. May 29 GNA-The chief Commissioner of the Ghana Scout Association (GSA) Mr. Isaac Newton Addy has called on members to avoid rumour mongering and back-biting because they undermined the growth of association.

He said his doors are opened to members and therefore urged them to cross-check on rumors and allegation before acting on them so as to help move the association foward.

Mr. Addy made the call in Accra last weekend at the Annual General Meeting of the Association during which members discussed matters affecting the growth and expansion of the association. The Commissioners advised member to reflect on the past and correct what went wrong and put in place effective mechanisms towards the promotion of the Association.

He urged them to avoid violence and co-exist with each other to ensure peace so as to maintain the good image of the association as known outside the country, adding that discipline should be their guide. Commissioner Addy urged the Regional Commissioners and District Commissioners and other leaders to give the necessary training to their members for them to contribute towards the development of the nation. He said the Association would attain 100 years in August this year and hoped that members would remain united and continue to defend and achieve its noble goals and aspirations.
