Accra bourse ends week on quiet note

Accra, Nov. 24, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange ended the week on a quiet note on Friday, but the bourse registered a huge sale of shares buoyed by block sale of CAL Bank shares.

The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main stock index, gained 0.07 points at 4,974.26 points from 4,974.19 points on Thursday.

Change to date remained at 4.30 per cent. On the broader market, there were three price changes, two up and one down.

ECOBANK Ghana was up five cedis at 13,206 cedis, Fan Milk Limited was one cedi up at 17,008 cedis but Super Paper Products Company was down by 20 cedis at 280 cedis.

Total shares traded jumped up to 1,230,400 with CAL Bank trading 1,060,500 shares.

Market capitalisation was up at 112,097.67 billion cedis from 112,097.25 billion cedis.
