Fame generate income for Nigerian artists not music - Brymo laments

Brymo Brymo

Popular Nigerian singer, Brymo, decried the poor recognition he gets from colleagues and fans despite his undeniable talents.

He made the comment in a recent interview with Cablenews where he noted that the Nigerian music industry was very flawed. This is coming on the back of his recently released album titled ‘Klitoris’ which did not do as well as he expected.

He said, “The music industry is very flawed. The industry itself is set up in such a way that the music can barely make that much money for the musicians so fame is being used as the medium to generate income for artists.”

Although he admitted that the music industry has recorded a lot of success, Brymo says that there is no value attached to musicians. He further said he doesn’t get as much recognition as he’s supposed to.
