Actress Emelia Brobbey has hinted she may soon return to the classroom in pursuit of her career as a professional teacher which she abandoned fifteen years ago.
The Kumawood star who graduated from the Kibi Teachers College of Education in the Eastern region recounted her passion for teaching on the Ultimate Brunch hosted by Naa Klordey Ordonkor.
“Oh yes I am a professional teacher and I love to impart knowledge”, she revealed.
Emelia Brobbey who holds a certificate course from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) however indicated she will need to upgrade her professional skills at the University of Education in Winneba (UEW) before making a return.
She disclosed that she quit teaching because she could not make time for her movie shoots as a result of the demanding nature of the teaching profession.
“I did not want to cheat government by pretending I was working. I therefore decided to go into full-time acting which is also a form of teaching”, she explained.
The actress acknowledged the challenges associated with her new-found love but indicated that she has over the years worked towards dealing with the negative effects of the challenges.
