Founder of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has shared advice with his congregants regarding marriage.

In a video shared on social media and sighted by GhanaWeb on June 5, 2026, Bishop Obinim cautioned church members against placing all their hopes and expectations on marriage.

According to the outspoken cleric, people should not become overly dependent on marriage because relationships can face challenges and circumstances can change unexpectedly.

Referring to the controversies surrounding the burial arrangements of late Ghanaian innovator Apostle Professor Emeritus Kwadwo Safo Kantanka and the disagreements linked to his final funeral arrangements, Bishop Obinim stated that he would not want similar issues to arise after his own passing.

He added that he would prefer his wife and family to avoid becoming involved in disputes over his funeral arrangements.

“Do you know what is involved in marriage? So don’t depend entirely on marriage. Think carefully about what I am saying.

“If Kwadwo Safo had gotten married and his wife were still alive, she might have been able to step in and prevent some of the unnecessary controversies within the family,” he said.
