Female Armed Robber Attacks Sportsman

An unknown woman probably in her late 20’s late last month, attacked Ghana’s ace Walker Vincent Asumang at knife point and attempted snatch his OPEL KADETT caravan at Adabraka in Accra, at nightfall

Asumang, who had just returned form Italy where he led Ghana’s walkers to the 20th World Walking Cup held in Torino, told BOLD & BEAUTIFUL newspaper that even though he was frightened to death by the experience he has managed to put it behind him so as to continue with his life.

Narrating the facts of the case to this paper, Asumang who is an officer with the Ghana National Fire Service said, he was locked up in traffic that fateful day when the lady emerged from nowhere and attempted to open the back door of his car.

Surprised and shocked, Asumang said he enquired from her what she wanted which she answered back that she wanted money. “I tried to drive her away, but she hanged on like a leech”, the fire Officer told BOLD & BEAUTIFUL.

According to Asumang, within the twinkle of an eye the lady had acted swiftly and relocated to the front where she swiftly removed the car tape and attempted to bolt away.

At this juncture the traffic was still dead slow and helped by fellow motorist, he was able to apprehend her.

Asumang said he retrieved the car tape but just as he was heading towards his car, here was the lady’s male accomplices coming with full force which compelled him to drive dangerously to safety.

Now out of complete danger, Asumang said he reported to the Adabraka Police and one sergeant Samson took charge of the case. Dutifully, he lost no time in leading a contingent to search for the rogues but apparently, they vanished into the black night

In a related incident recalcitrant buglers have broken into the Cape Coast home of ace Walker Vincent Asumang at Sikafoamba ntsem and made away with a quantity of items including a video deck of sony make, jewelry and ?2.5 million cash. This took place just a week after the first incident.

S p e a k i n g to BOLD & BEAUTIFUL only last week, the ace walker informed that he drove to town only to return to find the mosquito netting to his abode torn and hanging. He said he soon found out that his home had been broken into and the items missing. He then made a report to the Cape Coast Central police who ordered him to get in touch with the local FM Stations namely Radio Central and ATL FM to relay the news just in case a good Samaritan could provide a lead that might lead to the arrest of the thieves.

Asumang said the police command then detailed corporal Aditra and some others to get over to the scene to pick footprint and finger prints on he ground and louvres respectively.
Investigations still continue.
