I’m a 29-year-old woman, married for three years but with no kids yet. An incident happened and it left me traumatised.

I was robbed somewhere last year. The robbers were four guys, I was driving home from work around 7:30pm. We had just moved to our new home, barely a month.

One crossed me and I stopped, then he fell and started shaking. I got down to check on him and the others came to grab me. They made me sit in the car with them, I sat at the back while two was in front and two were at the back with me.

We were parked, but if anyone passed, they wouldn’t suspect there was a robbery going on and they had knives pointing at me so I couldn’t shout.

They took my phones and made me transfer all my money from my momo and from bank to a particular number and then they asked the person to withdraw the money immediately he received it.

They also took my phone and laptop. The two at the back started inserting their finger into my private part.

The others in front asked them to leave me but they wouldn’t. They forced me to sit on them in the car and ride them. One of the guys said I should give him blowjob as I was sitting on the other. They slept with me against my will. We stayed there for almost 40 minutes.

They left me with nothing, just my car. I was shaking, so I had someone call my husband to come and take me home.

It’s almost a year and I haven’t been able to drive again. Anytime I sit in the car, I get scared. I’m also scared of people, men especially. I haven’t enjoyed sex ever since. I don’t even have the urge for it.

I honestly haven’t been able to recover. I don’t know what to do. My husband is a very good man and he has been there every step on the way.

He has been supportive but I just cannot recover.

The police couldn’t find the armed robbers. I honestly feel depressed, I just don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve seen a therapist for over six months but I see no improvement. What can I do at this point?
