Feyenoord-Fetteh To Take Part In 4-Nation U-15 Tournament

The Pepsi Football Academy has concluded plans to host four West African Football teams in its first ever U-15 5-A-side international competition in Lagos between August 25 - 29.

The four-day championship would have teams such as Feyenourd-Fetteh football academy, King Dok Asec Mimosa and Delta football academy of Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire and Togo respectively to vie for honours at the indoor sports hall of the University of Lagos.

Disclosing this yesterday in Lagos, Iain Nelson, consultant for the Pepsi Academy said all the teams participating in the competition are expected to arrive Lagos August 24 "for necsessary accreditation of players and officials."

He added that the competition, billed to attract various top shots of the Confederation of African Football Academies (CAFA) alongside scouts from Europe and America, would offer teams within the country the opportunity to provide exposure for their U-15 players, through their participation.

DAily Trust recalls that the Pepsi Academy successfully held the first ever U-13 5-A-side international competition last year in Lagos where teams from Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Togo football academies feature among others.
