DJ Envy has called Chris Brown the greatest live performer of all time, arguing that the R&B star is better than Michael Jackson.

His comments came after attending Brown and Usher’s sold-out shows at MetLife Stadium.

The Breakfast Club co-host said, “Chris Brown is the greatest performer ever. Better than Michael Jackson.”

Despite pushback from his co-hosts, Envy maintained his stance. “Yes. When it comes to dancing, absolutely,” he said.

“He’s Michael Jackson on crack,” Envy went on. “I think he can do what Michael Jackson does, and he can add acro to it. He can add his different style. He can make it hip-hopish. He can make it contemporary.”

According to Envy, Brown effortlessly integrates diverse dance styles into a single stage routine.

“He gets busy,” he said. “I’ve never seen nothing like that in my life.”

He also commended Brown’s stamina, stating that the artist delivers relentless energy every night regardless of the rigorous demands of touring.

“The fact that he just got off tour and does this every night,” Envy said. “Flies in the air for 30 minutes. He does not stop dancing.”

Interestingly, Brown has consistently avoided comparing himself to Michael Jackson. In a September 2025 Instagram Story, he paid tribute to the King of Pop once more, writing, “Michael Jackson will forever be the GOAT, and that’s not even arguable.”

Envy was present at both nights of Brown and Usher’s MetLife Stadium stop, with the concert incorporating complex dance routines, aerial stunts, and special guest appearances by 50 Cent, Jadakiss, Fat Joe, Eric Bellinger, and Tank, as reported by Complex.

Envy lauded the production as one of the finest live performances he has witnessed.

“The show was amazing,” he stressed.
