MP presents corn-mill to communities

Apaa (E/R), Oct. 17, GNA- The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa, Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has presented two corn-mill machines valued at 10.6 million cedis to two communities in his constituency. The beneficiary communities were Apaa, near Begoro and Feyiase. Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo called on the communities to form management committees to manage the machine and ensure that funds are always available for its maintenance.

He advised parents in the area to send their children to school since that was the best legacy that they could leave for their children. The Mmerantehene of Apaa, Nana Kwabena Adjei who received the donation on behalf of the community, appealed to the MP to use his good offices to have the Apesika bridge and the borehole in the area rehabilitated.

He also appealed for funds to help the community to complete the construction of the Apaa Local Authority Junior Secondary School (JSS), which was at the lintel level but had been abandoned for the past three years.

At Feyiase, Mr Ofosu-Ampofo advised the people to do away with politics when it comes to issues affecting development of their communities.

He appealed to the people to support the efforts of the Assemblywoman for the area to ensure the completion of the on-going school project.

Mr Ofosu-Ampofo urged the people to make proper lay-out of their communities to enable them to benefit from the self help electrification project. 17 Oct 03
