GFA To Consider Mexico Friendly

The GFA has expressed second thoughts about the proposed friendly game against Mexico to be staged next year March ahead of the World Cup finals. A report has it that the GFA has tabled down a friendly game against Mexico to be staged in the City of Dallas, America on the first of March.

The Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Fred Pappoe told CITI FM that the GFA is having second thoughts about the friendly since the country will be exposing their game to the Americans, who have been drawn in the same group as them in Group E, insisting that the GFA is in talks with the Mexicans to rethink the decision.

?We will be exposing our game to the Americans if we play Mexico so we have re-opened discussions with Mexicans to think of another way?, he said. He also dismissed speculation that Black Stars defender Samuel Osei Kufuor of Italy based club AS Roma has been left out of the Black Stars squad for the Nations Cup finals next year January.

An earli! er speculation had it that Sammy Kufuor has been left out of the squad ahead of the Nations Cup finals but Fred Pappoe says that is a wild speculation.

The Black Stars list has all the players who took part in the Saudi Arabia friendly plus the notable absentees, Michael Essien, Stephen Appiah and Joetex Frimpong.

One other addition is Hearts? striker Prince Tagoe.
