There is enough security threat being instituted by people in leadership situations that is being ignored to the ultimate detriment of the average Ghanaian

What happened to principled leadership, such as exhibited by Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. It is for such principled leadership that their names are remembered with affection long after their passing. What would these leaders be remembered for, notoriety for or condoning violence
We read about the lives of men such as Winston Churchill and often amazed by decisions they took, which weren't popular during their days among their party faithful but today, they are fondly spoken of.

They need to put in place preventive measures during the campaign period to prevent any flashpoint from manifesting on election day. These measures could include preventive patrols and advising political parties on dates, venues and routes of rallies, health walk etc.

Why should the Ghana Police contemplate to ban health walks in a political season? It is now part of the growing culture of our politics. I will rather suggest, the Police encourage this walks to free the party activists to openly campaign and express their feelings. If properly done it will ease tensions, which are artificially promoted usually, by the party which seem to be loosing the support of the potential voters.
If I were the IGP I would rather sanction weekend walks, for parties in contest in the national elections, six weeks to the day of elections. It can be managed well, if some serious thought is given to it.
