But under his watch Ghana borrowed more than it was earning, obnoxious taxes were imposed, Ghanaians lost their savings through ddp and haircut. There was high cedi dollar exchange rate, inflation. The money the NPP government with the economic and banking guru, Bawumia spent to resolve the inadequate liquidity of Banks was more than the cash needed for the banks to become liquid. Ghana had to go for a bail oit form the world Bank. Bawumia has been tested and he failed, he has no credibility as an economist or a banker.
The indiscipline under NPP such as building at unapproved places have to be corrected, the pepertrators cannot become the victims.
The cedi exchange rate to the dollar is better than under Bawumia's NPP. Roads are being built and constructed. Hospitals are being built. Our reserves have improved and the economy is resilient, that is why in USA fuel prices have increased by 100% but Ghana the increment is far less, in fact just a little more than it existed under NPP during some periods in their rule. There was no Middle East oil crises. NPP blamed high fuel prices on Russia Ukraine war but NDC got fuel prices down in spite of Russia Ukraine war. GoldBod is doing wonders to the Ghanaian economy.
