It started with the Coussey Constitution in 1951, then the constituent assembly that produced the 1992 constitution, to the NPP’s boycotting parliament led by Prof Adu Boahen. HawaYakubu cleverly entered parliament as independent candidate and performed wonders, but the greater numbers of NPP candidates sat out of parliament because of the boycott! It’s sad the NPP has boycotted parliament again in this day and age. That’s sad because in the end, they’ll be the losers. Politicians learn history but fail to learn from history

Assuming the constitution is amended after a successful yes in the national referendum and parliamentary approval, what prevents or stops any of the former presidents (Kuffour and Akuffo Addo) from contesting.
